Terms and Conditions
Last updated August 17, 2026
Index of Herbs is free to read. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. This agreement is between you and Keersa LLC, which operates Index of Herbs from Florida, USA. It replaces earlier terms posted on this domain, including language about freebies and third-party sample offers that this site does not provide.
1. Acceptance
These terms apply to indexofherbs.com and to the public monograph, blog, and contact pages on it. They are the complete agreement between you and us about use of the site, and they supersede prior terms on the same subject.
We may amend these terms. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated date. We do not email every visitor when the text changes. You should read this page before relying on the site. Continued use after an update is acceptance of the new terms.
2. What this site is for
The site is an educational reference: herb monographs, essays, and related notes on history, chemistry, traditional use, and harm. It is not a shop. There is no cart, no prescription pad, and no promise that a plant will treat a disease.
Nothing on the site is medical, legal, or professional advice. It is not a diagnosis, a dose, or a reason to start, stop, or replace a medicine. Talk with a qualified clinician before using any herb, especially if you take prescription drugs, have a condition, are pregnant, or are considering something for a child. Emergency symptoms belong with emergency services or a poison center, not with this website.
3. Copyright
The organization, writing, design, graphics, botanical plates, and other materials on this site are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. You may read and share links. You may quote short passages with attribution for criticism, education, or review. You may not copy, scrape, republish, or commercially reuse substantial parts of the site—monographs, images, or the garden as a dataset—without our prior written permission.
Citations and source lists point to third-party works that remain those publishers’ property. A link is not a license to copy their files.
4. Changing and removing content
We may edit, correct, unpublish, or delete documents, monographs, posts, or these terms at our discretion, with or without notice. An index that names harm has to be allowed to fix a sentence when the evidence moves.
5. Your conduct
You agree not to misuse the site: no scraping at a volume that degrades service, no attempts to break authentication or inject hostile content, no using the contact form to send malware, spam, or medical demands we cannot meet. We may block access or discard messages that look like abuse.
6. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Keersa LLC, and our officers, members, partners, attorneys, and employees, from liability, loss, damages, claims, and reasonable legal fees arising from your violation of these terms or your use of the site—including any decision you make about a plant after reading a page.
7. Disclaimer
THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND QUALITY, WITH RESPECT TO THIS SITE AND ANY SITE WE LINK TO.
Information may contain errors, omissions, or lag behind a new trial or a new harm signal. We have no liability for your use of any information here. In particular, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including lost profits, lost data, or litigation), whether based on contract, warranty, negligence, product liability, or otherwise, even if advised that such damages were possible.
Those limits are a basic part of the bargain: the index is free, and it would not be offered without them. No oral or written note from us through the site creates a warranty that is not written in this agreement.
Materials on the site are for general information. It is your responsibility to evaluate accuracy and completeness, and to get personal advice from someone licensed to give it.
8. Viruses and availability
We disclaim liability for damage caused by malware in files you download, and for downtime or inability to use the site. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
9. Third-party websites
Monographs and posts cite outside sources. When you leave our site, that other site’s terms and privacy policy apply. We do not operate those sites, do not control their content, and have not audited them for completeness. A citation is not endorsement of a product, a clinic, or a supplement brand.
This site does not sell third-party goods or process orders. Older terms on this domain discussed freebie samples and merchant checkout. That is not what Index of Herbs does now. If a page ever links to a bookseller or a database, you deal with that party at your own risk.
10. Submissions
If you send ideas, corrections, source suggestions, or other notes through the contact form or email, you grant Keersa LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that material to operate and improve the site—including fixing a monograph. We will not treat an ordinary correction as a paid consulting engagement. Do not send information you need to keep confidential or that you do not have the right to share.
Your name and email remain your personal data, handled under the Privacy Policy. We do not claim copyright in your identity.
11. Accounts
If you create an account, you are responsible for the password and for activity under that login. Administrators may suspend accounts that violate these terms. Public readers do not need an account to use the index.
12. General
This site is controlled by Keersa LLC in the State of Florida, USA. Florida law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a court finds one clause unenforceable, the rest still apply. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
